Anindya Datta, Ph.D.
Founder, Chairman
Dr. Datta has more than two decades of experience as an executive entrepreneur, academic leader and IT innovator who has applied for seven patents for his innovations and whose work is widely published on the subject on database and application systems.
In 1999, Dr. Datta founded Chutney Technologies and led all development and operational aspects of the company, providing both technology and corporate vision. Under his leadership, Chutney evolved from an application performance company into one of the earliest entrants in the application virtualization area, pioneering the area of application layer object storage and virtualization, which is now widely recognized as a core functionality of any object-oriented application. The company was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2005.
From 1998 through 2003, Dr. Datta was an associate professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. While there, he was the founding director of the Georgia Tech Center for Electronic Commerce. He acquired a $1M grant from IXL Corporation to start and fund the Center.
Dr. Datta is a highly sought after consultant and has advised many prestigious companies including AT&T Laboratories, AT&T, US West, IBM, Coca-Cola, and the Singapore Management University.
He is recognized as having contributed fundamentally to a few of the key ideas in database and application systems. In database systems, his work has been partly responsible for the creation of many of the access structures commonly in use today in commercial data warehousing systems – he is the creator of many of the bitmap indexing schemes currently in wide commercial deployment.
He earned his Ph.D and his M.S. degrees from the University of Maryland, and his B. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.
Jay D. Clark
CEO and President
Mr. Clark has a 20 year track record of leading and growing technology services companies in the USA, Europe and India. He is experienced in performing corporate officer responsibilities for both publicly traded and privately held companies. He brings an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and significant operational experience to the team.
Clark began his career with EDS and spent the first ten years of his career performing significant technical and account leadership roles for large outsourcing clients located throughout the United States. He also served a two year term as CIO for a large California workers’ compensation company during his tenure at EDS.
In 1994, he joined the executive team of Syntel, Inc., where he actively participated in growing the business and taking the company public in 1996 (NASDAQ: SYNT). He was responsible for the company’s largest application outsourcing clients, worldwide sales, and delivery operations spanning the USA, Europe and India.
In 2000, Clark joined the executive team of CGI-AMS/IMR Global as Senior Vice President, Western USA region. He was responsible for an $80 million business unit serving clients in the energy, retail and manufacturing industries. He was also responsible for acquiring and integrating niche companies into his business unit.
In 2003, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of STI Knowledge, now called Zavata, and helped grow their enterprise solutions, education and certification, and business process outsourcing services.
Clark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Tennessee Technological University.
Mike Burns
Business Development Director
Mike Burns brings more than 15 years of experience in direct sales, marketing and services business development. Throughout his career, Burns has sold leading enterprise software applications, coupled with outsourced support and hosting services, for both front and back office automation, including Siebel and PeopleSoft®. Prior to joining Walking Stick Solutions, Burns served as director of business development for PeopleSoft® in the rebranding and relaunch of PeopleSoft® Hosting. During that time, he significantly grew the customer and revenue base of PeopleSoft® outsourced clients while working with both the license and consulting sales organizations.
Grant Lovelace
ERP Practice Director
Grant Lovelace has over 10 years of experience delivering complex ERP projects for large clients in multiple areas of commerce and industry. He has spent the past several years managing and delivering PeopleSoft® projects while working for TSC, USinternetworking, and Impact Innovations.
Lovelace has worked with industry leaders in the following areas:

- Travel
Lovelace also has an extensive background in corporate finance as CFO for a networking technology company that delivered local and wide area networking projects for clients like: Lucent Technologies, Robinson Humphrey, and Blimpie International.
Lovelace completed his education at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Major in accounting and concentration in computer science.
Rajesh Jadhav
Director, Investor Relations
Rajesh Jadhav has more than 11 years of experience working with leading financial institutions, specializing in project finance, risk management, relationship management and investment banking.
Jadhav began his career with IDBI, India’s premier development bank, where he initially assisted the bank in raising long-term debt and then served on the project finance team where he assisted the bank in sanctioning loans for several large projects. When the telecommunications boom hit the country in the 1990s, he was hand picked to join a budding team specializing in providing finance for large telecommunication ventures. The team rapidly went on to build one of the largest franchises within the bank. Personally responsible for several of these projects, Rajesh build strong relationships with almost all the telecommunications operators, became involved in several key government level initiatives for directing the nation’s Telecom policy, as well as establishing a Telecom watchdog.
In 2000, Jadhav joined Deutsche Bank AG as an investment banker where he was successful in building a strong business pipeline for the Bank’s telecommunications team, as well as a franchise of clients from industries as diverse as Engineering, Coal mining, Agriculture, Industrials and Information Technology.
Jadhav holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, Punjab University and a Masters Degree in Management Studies from Bombay University.
Sanjoy Chatterjee
Director, Finance
Mr. Chatterjee has more than 10 years of experience in Financial, Accounting and Legal. He began his career with Leasing Finance India Ltd where he processed Leasing, Inter Corporate Loans, and management of Equity Portfolios. He eventually moved on to the manufacturing industry and joined Signotron India as Accounts & Finance Manager, eventually rising to be their Chief Accountant.
In early 2000, he made his move into the IT industry and joined Chutney Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Chutney Technologies Inc., USA, as the head of Finance and Administration. During last few years Chatterjee has been involved with multiple software start-ups and has nurtured them through the early years.
Chatterjee holds a Master Degree in Economics from Calcutta University as well as a Master Degree in Business Management (Finance) from IISWBM, Calcutta. He is also an Associate Member of Indian Cost & Works Accountant of India (ICWA).
